Shrimp is a crustacean similar to shrimp (yes, as its name indicates, it is a larger species of shrimp ). Distinguishing them is quite easy: the second is pinkish and the shrimp is rather orange. Once in the mouth there are also differences : the prawn has harder meat and its flavor is intense, while this cousin of the prawn tastes softer and its meat is tender.

Of course, they are also delicious and very nutritious, like the rest of the seafood, shrimp provide a large amount of protein and very little fat, they add various minerals and vitamins to our diet with the peculiarity that they quickly satisfy you without providing hardly any carbohydrates. .

Preparation of baked shrimp

  1. We start by preparing the shrimp: we remove the mustaches to make them easier to handle and we place them in a refractory dish, without leaving any gaps between them.
  2. We fill a bowl with extra virgin olive oil and with the help of a silicone brush or a spoon, we spread a layer of oil over the shrimp.
  3. Peel and chop the garlic into very small pieces, pour it over the shrimp.
  4. We heat the oven to 190º C with heat up and down.
  5. Pour a splash of white wine or cava over the shrimp and sprinkle a generous handful of coarse salt.
  6. We bake for 15 minutes. When serving this dish, we take advantage of the juices that the shrimp have released to, with the help of a brush, paint them so that they have a shiny and even more appetizing appearance.
